Sat. morning we got up early to go to Logan, UT a friend from Vancouver, WA went through for his first time. He has family in UT and especially in the Logan, UT area. It was a perfect time to go through with him and his family. On the way we took pics. of the Logan,UT tabernacle and the house I lived in when I was in 7th grade (1968) Verne is standing in front of the Wellsville,UT church building (it looked interesting)This is the train station at the end of Center St. We took a look at the old bottling Co. that was across the street from my good friends house.(Kristine Spindler’s)I She told me, many years ago, that her house was a historical home and now it is noted so by the city and a plaque. I don’t think they live there anymore. On the way home to Heidi’s house we stopped again in Brigham City, UT and went inside the tabernacle. They showed a video about the construction and reconstruction of the building after the fire. We remember the reconstruction because we visited in 1987. The video did not show or tell that the original glass in the windows was turquoise. When we asked, “why not” the women did not even know they were turquoise.
An older gentlemen had to say “Oh yes they were green.” A bit of lost history that we know and some might not ever know.
