Christmas Eve in the Nativity

Christmas 2012                         By:  Grandma May

It's the middle of December and it's not very cold,

we might not even have snow, for Christmas we're told.

Never-the-less the show must go on, we will celebrate His birth,

the day that the Christ child came to this Earth.

It's been two years since Wesley was the babe in the hay,

This year, his new baby brother will be there to lay.

Bentley's just 4 ½ months old, but he sure knows his part

It's to lie quiet and still to the end, . . . from the start.

We are so excited to have our new Wisemen,

or should I say “Wiseguys” this year,

cuz it's Cody, and Baylor, with Wesley, bringing up the rear.

They are bringing gifts for the Christ child foretold,

of Frankincense, myrrh, and of course there is gold.

Evelyn is four but a shepherd in training,

watching her big brother Porter who isn't complaining.

Our inn keeper is sad cuz there's no room for the mother.

The inn was so crowded, Brooklyn wished there was another.

Our angel, Olivia, heralds the news of His birth,

to the shepherds, and wiremen and all men on Earth.

Mary and Joseph are the next on the scene

Nathan is Joseph, a quiet, hard working machine.

MaryLeigh, just loves to play Mary the mom,

what a blessing for Joseph that she came along.

The story of Jesus never gets old,

we get closer to Him every time it is told.

We love all our family where ever they are,

Even the James down in Roy, aren't really that far.

Merry Christmas to all and to all feel His love,

to all mankind He now sends from above.
