This was a busy week end of church work. Friday morning was Norman Easts funeral, I conducted, Then our ward Temple night, and youth baptisms. Saturday morning the sealing of Al and Eva Olsen. Sunday we had a special Sacrament meeting that was guided by the spirit. Members were called up as the Bishopric felt so inclined. Bill Watts was asked to talk about church service. he has been our ward finance clerk since he moved to Vancouver in 1981. It was a great meeting. To finish the weekend the Stake Patriarch spoke to our youth at our house. following the Bishops youth Discussion we had cinnamon rolls and milk. The new Deacons Quorum was sustained and set apart in the quiet of our backyard. It will be something for them to always remember. This Patriot Guard escorted the body of Bro. East to Willamette Cemetery. The Military did a splendid job of Honoring a WWII veteran. I had never witnessed anything like this before. Very dignified and respectful.
