Another Crazy 4th. and our old house burns down

This years July 4th was such nice weather we were able to swim.   We had the Foltz family come over at 12:00 noon and then when they left the Dyer clan came over.   The pool was a very busy place.

Wesley is very good about wearing his sun glasses and he just needs to figure out which way is up.   083085086It wouldn’t be the 4th without the kids picking any thing they can in the garden.   The Marion berries and Porter found a rouge potato plant and just had to see what they looked like.   One was a purple potato and the other plant was a white or russet.    We are raising farmers.  087088089092099101104105107109114115117119120The fireworks display was amazing (as usual) and the night was just right.    The only OOPS was the very last explosion and most of the fireworks were way too low to the ground.    Thankfully no one was hurt.    The B-B-Q was good and we had a Mission buddy of Verne’s join us with his wife (Ron and Sarah Pimentel)   Larry Foltz brought his BIG lens for the occasion and Italian sodas were a hit along with the homemade ice cream. YUM.   The next morning was a sad day for the Schaterlie’s and our old house that we lived in when we first moved to Vancouver.   Never store your used fireworks next to the house!!!   128129127
