Utah Canyonlands Retirement Vacation

First stop Zion National Park. We camped at a camp ground in tents, just outside the park. It was very cold at night. We bought long sleeved shirts to help keep us warm at night.

P1020273P1020284P1020289A hike for the brave is called “Angel’s Landing”  Not for the faint of heart.  Verne, Ryan, Cohen and True did it.  WOWP1020320There was a chain for holding on to as you went up to the top and made the Scary decent.P1020331P1020335P1020340On to the next park…Bryce Canyon Nation Park. and Goblin Valley and Arches National Park.    Utah really has amazing land formations.  Breathtaking!P1020341P1020348P1020352P1020358P1020359P1020365P1020372We had to find shade as we climbed up to Delicate Arch and South Window Arch.  We were so glad Heidi encouraged us to bring spray bottles with water.  It was a very hot day.  Everyone we saw wished they had one.  We squirted some people and they loved it.  NICE! Thank you!P1020398P1020400P1020401

Retirement after 40 years

After  40 years of making teeth I hung up my number 7 waxing spatula May 1 2018 and retired from May Brothers Dental lab.

I had two great partners, Milo and Jake. Dave Morgon bought my share of the business.IMG_20180427_203014308_LLJake and Dave took Lori and me out to dinner at the Ringside Fish house in Portland. We appreciated them doing that for us.

20180427_202653_20180427_211052Then on May 10th I was out transplanting a Lilac and Callie and Lindsi drove up the driveway. They got out of the car and this blonde woman followed them out to the pasture. At first i could not make out who it was. I thought she looks a little like Heidi, and it was. It was a total wonderful surprise. The kids took us out to the Matador restaurant for dinner to celebrate my retirement. It is the most wonderful blessing to have such great children and their spouses.IMG_3285_20180511_175401IMG_3286_20180511_175401IMG_3287_20180511_175401IMG_3292_20180512_104753IMG_3293_20180512_104753IMG_4829_20180511_115510IMG_20180511_183300131_BURST000_COVER_TOPIMG_20180511_191124956
